isn't there a possibillity to contact a record label to re-issue some of Larry Coryell's catalog? Like for example Barefoot Boy?

darazn1: Barefoot Boy is available on Amazon. Expensive but worth it, one of my favs.

Re: Barefoot Boy. When I was getting into LC, I wasn't determined about this one. At the time, it seemed readily available at Amazon.com and the local Aomeba Records. When I later found out the track listing and got really interested, it disappeared. Now it's impossible to find. Hopefully the retrospective DVD will generate interest and these CD's will be in print again.

I moved from New York State to Montau Dr. in Topanga Canyon, just outside of L.A. in the spring of 71 and found out that I had a next door neighbor named Larry Coryell. I was well aware of his fine work and thought I'd eventually get to meet him. That happened faster than I imagined. The first nite my rock n roll band was rehearsing a guy knocks on the door who we didn't know. He just wanted to hang out a while. He even offered to jam with us the following day. By then we figured out it was Larry. The following day was one I'll never forget. I'll always appreciate Larry for coming down to our 12 bar level. We socialized quite a bit over the next several months before he moved back east. Not a trace of ego, just a
great guy and neighbor.

Hey Craig!

I'm from Galicia-Spain.

If my memory doesn't work against me I think Larry Coryell played in one of the days of the event called Legends of the Guitar in Sevilla.

But as far as I remember ('cause I was on the Satch-Vai mood that days and it was a Rock Night too) the concert was TV aired by "la 2".

As long as I have a Divx copy of the Rock Night I think it has to be a copy of the show somewhere over the Internet.

Cheers!

Hi fellow Coryell fans! Anyone know if there's any chance of a cd release of Fairyland. On the record, it seems like Larry isn't real pleased with how the gig is going, but i know i'm not alone in thinking that this is one of the most mindblowing guitar albums ever made. Hope the 35 year old tape isn't toast.

PS, any comments on how the Lenny White Victor Bailey shows are going?

Any help in finding info on a duet that Larry did with BBKing a few years back would be appreciated. The song might have been 'Still got the Blues'.

I am a huge fan of Larry Coryell and last saw him when he played the Sydney Town Hall in Australia. Does Larry have any plans to play Australia again ? Cheers

I'm back. Hello to everybody. Can anyone tell me about the "retrospective thing". Thanks & God bless You All.
CAL on Monday 18 July 2005 - 21:47:38
I am a huge fan of music in general and a new fan of Larry Coryell. His guitar skills are incerdible. His musicianship has turned on a new light for me. This retrospective concert will surley open the eyes of a new generation of music lovers. This is a great idea.
Gabriel on Monday 18 July 2005 - 17:24:24
It would be really cool to hear some of Larry's older music played live. He has got to be one of the most talented musicians alive today!
azem27 on Sunday 17 July 2005 - 10:55:17
Larry has ALWAYS been an excellent guitar player and musician, and with this retrospective show, I know he will prove his place with Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana, Jimmy Page, and all the others who have been so embraced by the commerical world. Larry is the ultimate underground! And an earthquake is coming to Los Angeles!
oZ on Sunday 17 July 2005 - 09:24:45
I am so there for the "restrospective" show when it hits L.A.! Keep us posted ASAP.

Hello DiamandDog, not exactly sure about how soon before he comes to the Netherlands, but I'm excited about that LARRY CORYELL RETROSPECTIVE CONCERT. From what I'm told it sounds as if it will be an event to remember. It is being held in SoCal within the next couple of months!!
DiamondDog on Wednesday 13 July 2005 - 11:42:10
yeah, the website looks very good now. Is Larry ever gonna perform in The Netherlands in the near future? I hope so...
Segundo Prol on Friday 08 July 2005 - 00:36:19
WOW! New look for the web. Is it definitive?.

When I entered the page I though at first that I had something wrong in my computer.

A salute to everyone.

Hi everybody!

Welcome Javier. I'm from Galicia (in Spain).

I was as lucky as you some time ago (a little bit more than a year) when LC talked with us in Ourense.

LC is great. I love the way he is. And he is a true inspiration to me.

Cheers!

Thanks senorblues66.

But it was impossible for me to go to the show 'cause on that date I had to go to a wedding. So last week I did not care 'bout nothing but my private classes and practicing with the instrument.
guitargod40 on Saturday 25 June 2005 - 15:12:59
Larry I emailed you to call John LaChapelle in Richland, Washington. He would love to hear from you.

His hearing is going.

P.S. email me for his number if you dont have it

Segundo Pro, que tal? As you probably know Larry will be on Spain playing the 25th June. He told me he will be playing with John Williams on that date in a bullring. I guess the 3 guitars personal has changed but I can't find out who the 3rd player is
Segundo Prol on Wednesday 22 June 2005 - 00:15:53
Larry performed on May 5th 2005 (with Mark & Paul) at Café Latino (Ourense-Galicia-Spain-Europe).

Great show.

I just noticed that the Catalina Bar in Hollywood has Larry listed to play there in September. C'mon adminstator, if this is true then get with it! The members of this website wish to know Larry's performance schedule.
Segundo Prol on Tuesday 21 June 2005 - 00:29:43
Hi to all you, the comunity.
How do you do?

Here in my town we are still hungry about Larry's music since his last visit.

I would thank Larry for having a small town like Ourense in his heart.
