I said in a recent post to check out Larry on u tube after talking about it I realizec that musicnas of his talent especially in jazz, aren't compensated for these free shows-lessons and it not fair. I was so happy to see videos of Larry and other greats that I didn't think how it was effecting these great and not usualy rich artists.
BRENDA on Friday 20 October 2006 - 15:44:37
Larry...Brenda Bradley here. Class of "60. You may not remember me. I was married to Dee Wallace. Briefly. But I remember you and your enormous talent. I have enjoyed reading the great reviews about you. Just in case you are having a hometime get together while you're in Richland, I'd love to see you again and meet your wife. Good luck. 946-0864

Larry-Hope you read these emails. I look forward to seeing you next week in Richland, home of the Bombers! I graduated in 1960 and remember you from band (Iplayed trumpet). I used to hang out with the likes of Jim Adrian, Dava and Jim Warren, Jim Walton and Tom hunt, anyway, we are all looking forward to seeing you. Larry Aeschliman

The run at catalina's was brilliant. Band is super tight, and they sold out of discs on he final night. Spaces Revisited is being developed beautifully. Lenny White's drum solo last night was something to behold. Feel honored to be a part of such a great, musical event.

Anybody going to Arlington?? Anyways, 4play, the 11th House Reunion Band did worldtours in 1998 and 1999 feat. Larry Coryell and Alphonse Mouzon on every occasion, Randy Brecker (trumpete mostly 1998), Sunzo Ono (trumpete, mostly 1999), Donald Harrison (sax), Jeff Berlin (bass), Richard Bona (bass), John Lee (bass, 1999); THAT WAS A SMOKING BAND! Would love if they'd tour with Victor Bailey, Jim Beard and Kenny Garrett!Or something like that!
4play on Wednesday 06 September 2006 - 16:24:13

i notice we're running extremely low on the coryell upcoming gigs....Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood, Ca posts that he'll be there at the end os Sept with Bailey and White..... anybody know of any other gigs upcoming?
Can someone confirm: Larry Coryell is sitting in with Les Paul tonight at Iridium in NYC? 10 p.m. To you lucky bastards, I hope you go and have stories to share with all of us! Happy trails!
Just finished IMPROVISING, great job Larry ! Been an avid fan since '72. Foreplay at the Twelfth Gate in Atlanta!!! The Firebird Suite at Lawndale Art Annex in Houston!!! With Steve Kahn at Alex Cooley's Electric Ballroom!!! On and on, thanks for the memories, it's been a great ride. Just like it takes several decades for the laws to catch up with cultural morality, so it is that sometimes it takes decades for the culture to catch up with an artist. So many extraordinary albums, Offering, Real Great Escape, Spaces, Planet End, The Lion and the Ram, Together, Return, et.al. So much passion for the music ! Such a master of the instrument ! Thanks for all the great music, and may there be many more years to come !
I agree with hikiate Fairyland is an incredible CD. Irecently discovered it, and I have almost all of Mr. Coryells work. Also Bob I second the true blues cd. Also beware of Larry's son Julien has a new power trio CAST, saw them live and they have a great new cd. Julien is carrying on nicely in his dads footsteps.
I just found this site and I'm glad I did! I met Larry at a clinic he did at a MARS music store in Marietta, GA. I bought just about everything he had for sale that day, hahaha. Sadly, I missed the 'Spaces Revisited' gig he did at the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta with Lagrene, Bona and Chambers. Is there any live footage of that tour? What I wouldn't give to see that..!!!!
