isn't there a possibillity to contact a record label to re-issue some of Larry Coryell's catalog? Like for example Barefoot Boy?

darazn1: Barefoot Boy is available on Amazon. Expensive but worth it, one of my favs.

Re: Barefoot Boy. When I was getting into LC, I wasn't determined about this one. At the time, it seemed readily available at Amazon.com and the local Aomeba Records. When I later found out the track listing and got really interested, it disappeared. Now it's impossible to find. Hopefully the retrospective DVD will generate interest and these CD's will be in print again.

Soon I will put some more reviews of some recordings. Just some patience, please...

I don't think he will be in Europe soon. But I definitly hope so. I also hope he will visit The Netherlands soon...

I have a old Coryell lp and instructional book from the 70's but haven't gotten to his newer videos but I will. Now I'm working with Emily Remlers's advanced Jazz-bossa video. It's great! and she had some interesting stuff. She worked with Larry and they were close. What a talent! What a loss!

Yeah, Emily's videos are the best jazz instructional I have seen. She put out two of them. She's was a very good teacher. Boy could she swing hard. It was a terrible loss when she died.

As far as Larry's teaching material, some is very good. There is one video he made back in the 80's with Julian backing him. I liked that one a lot.

By the way, does anybody have charts to "Dragon's Gate" or "Spaces Revisited"? or know where I can find them?

Yeah, I know what you mean about Dragon Gate! I have the chords but the melody is a bitch. It's basicaly a decending pent. minor thing but it's fast and tricky. Spaces r. is harder but Larry does have a chart for that one but that could be tough too. It might be on the internet but those charts are suspect. good luck
